Barber Half Dollar

The Barber half dollar is a 50-cent coin that was produced by the United States Mint from 1892 to 1915. It is named after its designer, Charles E. Barber, who also designed the Barber dime and quarter. The obverse side of the Barber half dollar features the head of Liberty facing right, wearing a Phrygian cap with the word "LIBERTY" inscribed on it and surrounded by 13 stars. The reverse side features an eagle with outstretched wings, holding arrows and an olive branch, surrounded by a wreath and the words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR." The Barber half dollar was made of 90% silver and 10% copper and has a weight of 12.5 grams. The coin is highly collectible due to its classic design and historic significance as a representation of early 20th century American coinage. The Barber half dollar was also the last U.S. half dollar to feature the traditional design of Liberty on the obverse side.
